Land Senior Mechanical Integrity Engineer

Overview

The Senior Mechanical Integrity Engineer position helps to support of the GOM Mechanical Integrity Program. The position is responsible for evaluation of inspection reports, conducting fitness-for-service calculations and thickness requirements for pressure vessels, exchangers, tanks, and piping per the applicable API/ASME standards for topside pressure equipment and development of risk mitigation plans and repair recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates sound knowledge of integrity engineering practices and familiarity with integrity inspection plans and program execution.
• Strong knowledge of fixed equipment integrity codes (API-579, 510, 570, ASME Sec VIII, B31.3, B31.8, B31.4)
• Evaluate inspection reports.
• Conduct fit-for-service calculations and thickness requirements for pressure vessels, exchangers, tanks, and piping per the applicable API/ASME standards for topside pressure equipment.
• Develop risk mitigation plans and repair recommendations.
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate well across teams and functional groups.
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience with implementation of Mechanical Integrity Programs and use of inspection and corrosion management databases, such as APM, for Oil and Gas Production, Petrochemical, and or Refining facilities.
• Strong vessel repairs as well as piping repairs knowledge.
• Execution of program repairs experience.
• Familiar with new diagrams.
• This position is working in a Danos customer’s office in the Woodlands, TX on a 9/80 work schedule for a one-year project.
• Candidate must live within a 50-mile radius to the customer’s office. No housing allowance is available with this position.
