Personal Support Specialist

Looking for a compassionate person who is also skilled in personal care and assisting with Activities of Daily Living to provide one-on-one support to an individual at one of CSAC’s residential programs called MyPad.  

My Pad is an innovative program that provides onsite support to individuals coping with life disrupting major mental health conditions and who are living in their own apartments in Middlebury.  We draw upon a staff-intensive, supportive team environment in helping the residents in building coping mechanisms, community engagement, and crisis prevention. 

This is a regular position of 30 hours per week, at $20.95/hour, with comprehensive benefit package. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 hours a day. There is some flexibility around when the 6 hours take place.  

Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work with individuals with patience and insight, and the personality to work well in a team environment.  Previous experience working with people with mental health challenges is desirable.  Creativity, openness to learning, and empathy are essential.  LNA/CNA experience desired.
