Supply Chain Project Manager

Job Summary: The Supply Chain Project Manager works under the direction of the Vice President of Purchasing and is responsible for business process improvements and leveraging demand planning software (BlueRidge) to help optimize inventory levels and improve forecasted customer demand accuracy. The Supply Chain Project Manager will operate as a business analyst and project leader for procedure change management, process, and technological continuous improvement. This person will be responsible for managing metrics and reporting as well as assisting in leading new system implementation.    

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Primary owner of BlueRidge Supply Chain Analytics platform creating required dashboards and reporting.
2. Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to measure supply chain performance and track progress.
3. Generate regular reports to provide necessary insights on demand forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and overall supply chain performance to support decision-making and business planning.
4. Using Supply Chain Analytics, develop and maintain Vendor Scorecards
5. Proactively identify and address root cause of supply chain issues, such as capacity constraints, lead time variability (i.e. supplier disruptions), and demand fluctuations to mitigate risks and ensure customer satisfaction.  
6. Build and execute change management plans including the creation of SOPs and keeping them up to date.
7. Assist in training of staff and ongoing support for all BlueRidge processes.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Sales, & Operations to align demand forecasts with inventory planning strategies.
9. Assist in implementing solutions to bridge the gap between current processes to newly adopted supply chain approaches and processes. 
10. Focus on Continuous Improvement to enhance inventory efficiencies that deliver upon department KPIs.
11. Manage Purchasing Responsibilities for select vendors as needed and assigned.
12. Be familiar with K&M’s and field concepts, practices, and procedures.
13. Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.

Job Requirements

1. BlueRidge Demand Planning Subject Matter Expert (SME)
2. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in forecasting and inventory management. 
3. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, perform statistical analysis, and generate actionable insights.  
4. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and supply chain management to drive strategic decision making.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage long term projects.
6. Strong organizational, planning, research, and leadership skills. 
7. Ability to develop effective relationships at all levels and help others reach the goals of K&M Tire. 
8. Ability to work independently. 
9. Possess strong communication skills, expressing ideas effectively in both written and oral communications. 
10. Project a professional image of yourself and the company. 
11. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain Role

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field and knowledge of tire industry (Preferred, but not required.)
