Job Summary
The Coordinator of Pre-Clinical Curriculum will assist the Associate Dean of Pre-Clinical Sciences in the organization and management of the first- and second-year medical school curriculum. This position will serve as a key support role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and implementation of curricular changes across all preclinical courses. Additionally, the Coordinator will provide administrative and secretarial support to faculty and leadership as needed.
This position is distinguished from other administrative assistant positions in that the nature, scope, and diversity of responsibilities of this position provide highly sensitive support to faculty, administration, and staff. Responsibilities require the exercise of independent judgment, absolute confidentiality, and advanced technical knowledge of specific areas of assignment.

- Assist WCUCOM and WCU in the implementation of their respective Mission Statements, Statements of Purpose, Institutional Plans, and Financial Plans.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Associate Dean, Preclinical Sciences to manage and organize all course materials within Preclinical Course Canvas shells, including posting files and scheduling quizzes and assignments, maintaining the gradebook, and ensuring content is accessible and current
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure curricular changes are properly integrated into courses.
- Assist in the coordination and logistics for laboratory, simulation, and clinical skills training in partnership with the ILC
- Manage the Adjunct Faculty Contracts for the OMS 1 and OMS 2 curriculum, gather supporting documentation, and process required WCU hiring paperwork.
- Supervise the Lab Instructor timesheets to ensure accuracy of reporting and maintain timelines in support of WCU HR
- Maintain compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) guidelines by optimizing navigation, captioning media and ensuring compatibility with assistive technologies
- Assist with faculty development related to WCAG
- Assist with mid- and end-semester notifications and paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and current faculty and administrative records.
- Serve as a resource person for students, referring them to appropriate individuals or departments as needed.
- Attend university and WCUCOM events when staff participation is expected, including staff development functions.
- Cross-train with staff members from other departments within the College of Osteopathic Medicine to learn multiple roles and functions.
- Attend and participate in staff development opportunities.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Extensive knowledge of and experience using common office productivity software, including, Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of situations and people simultaneously
- Ability to respect and adhere to the strict confidentiality requirements of the College of Osteopathic Medicine
