SUMMARY
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Maintenance Planner Scheduler to join our maintenance team at Vobev, a leading manufacturer in the aluminum beverage can industry. The Maintenance Planner Scheduler plays a crucial role in coordinating maintenance activities, optimizing resources, and ensuring the timely execution of maintenance plans to support production efficiency and equipment reliability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with maintenance managers, engineers, and technicians to develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and work orders for preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment upgrades.
- Utilize maintenance management software (CMMS) to create and prioritize work orders, schedule maintenance activities, allocate resources (labor, materials, tools), and track progress.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to plan and schedule downtime for maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules and customer orders.
- Review equipment maintenance histories, performance data, and condition monitoring reports to identify maintenance needs, equipment reliability issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop detailed job plans, procedures, and task lists for maintenance activities, including safety precautions, required materials, tools, spare parts, and estimated labor hours.
- Procure and manage inventory of maintenance materials, spare parts, and consumables to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime due to parts shortages.
- Monitor and track maintenance metrics, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and compliance with maintenance schedules, reporting any deviations or issues to management.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers for maintenance services, parts procurement, and equipment rentals, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular meetings with maintenance teams to communicate maintenance plans, priorities, progress updates, and feedback on completed work orders.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices to enhance maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and improve equipment reliability.

Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field is a plus with
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or related roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the beverage or packaging industry.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS) and MS Office applications for work order management, scheduling, data analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of maintenance practices, equipment reliability, and safety protocols related to mechanical, electrical, and automation systems in manufacturing facilities.
- Interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures to develop accurate job plans and work instructions.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, inventory management, and spare parts management to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and proactive approach to identifying maintenance needs, optimizing resources, and improving maintenance processes.
- Certification in maintenance planning, scheduling, or CMMS (e.g., Certified Maintenance Planner Scheduler, CMRP) is a plus.
