The General Services Enterprise Sourcing team focuses on managing the Company’s third party supplier strategy in support of Enterprise Benefits, Global Mobility, Employee Relations, Office Services, Operational Services, and various other areas. Our goal is to partner with our Corporate clients in the strategy development, analysis, selection, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management of our suppliers in compliance with our internal policies and procedures to drive supply chain excellence, protect the Disney brand, and mitigate risk.

The Sr. Sourcing Specialist will be part of a team responsible for Sourcing & Procurement activities related to Benefits, Global Security, Crisis Management, and various 3rd party operational services, with a focus on client management, category management, and supplier management. This individual will be accountable for partnering on and supporting sourcing initiatives that achieve value without compromising business strategy and performance.

What You Will Do

  • Lead cross-functional sourcing projects with key internal partners
  • Develop selection criteria in collaboration with key partners to evaluate vendors, firms and other consultants
  • Develop and lead RFI/RFP’s process for various goods and professional services, in accordance with The Walt Disney Company policy and procedures.
  • Analyze bids and recommend supplier selections based on total cost/supply to find opportunities to achieve optimal value
  • Prepare and execute clear, structured negotiations following pre-defined Strategic Sourcing methodology
  • Prepare and execute contracts as well as perform post-award administration (e.g. negotiating, issuing change orders, contract closeouts.)
  • Understand and assist in the development and execution of performance management programs with suppliers that focus on quality, responsiveness and cost
  • Ensure compliance with Sourcing and Procurement policies and best practices
  • Communicate and report to management the status of any critical external relationships that could affect planning and decision-making
  • Analyze market industry trends and conditions that affect internal team members and external suppliers and/or pricing
  • Participate in professional development activities to keep abreast of current industry practices
  • Demonstrate outstanding integrity and ethics in all instances

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience in a strategic sourcing environment
  • Strong analytical/project skills, capable of leading and managing an array of initiatives and workgroups from project initiation thru final presentation
  • Proven capacity to influence future clients at all levels in the organization
  • Excellent communicator able to demonstrate communicating effectively with senior management
  • High-energy, self-motivated with a desire to excel in a multi collaborator environment
  • Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Meticulous and highly organized
  • Strong negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Sourcing & Procurement processes
  • Sourcing tools and programs
  • Basic legal terms & conditions
  • HR, Benefits, and Professional Services preferred
  • CPM or similar certification a plus

Education

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or other quantitative discipline required
  • MBA preferred
The hiring range for this position in California is $84,600 to $103,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
