About the role:

The Senior Mobile Quality Engineer will play a critical role in the development and delivery of high-quality mobile applications for the Digital Banking Solutions business. As a Senior Mobile Quality Engineer, you will contribute to the implementation and maintenance of automated test frameworks, develop comprehensive mobile automated test coverage in CI/CD pipelines, produce test reports/dashboards, and mentor other QE team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mobile testing strategies, extensive hands-on experience in Mobile test frameworks and a passion for improving user experiences.

What you will be doing:

· Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Quality and help teams increase productivity and foster innovation.

· Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive quality assurance strategies and testing processes specifically tailored for mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms.

· Develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for functional, non-functional, regression, E2E, and performance testing of mobile apps, ensuring thorough coverage of requirements and user scenarios.

· Contribute to and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts using tools such as Appium, XCTest, Espresso, or similar, to streamline regression testing and ensure test repeatability.

· Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab, and collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure automated testing is part of the development workflow.

· Demonstrated ability to innovate and leverage new technologies, tools, and techniques to solve complex technical challenges in testing, test environments and test data.

· Identify, prioritize, and track defects using Jira and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution and validation of fixes.

· Evaluate mobile app usability, accessibility, and user experience (UX) design elements through usability testing, A/B testing, and user feedback analysis to enhance overall app quality and user satisfaction.

· Participate in code reviews to maintain the quality and stability of the test frameworks.

· Act as a subject matter expert on mobile testing topics, stay updated on industry standards for best practices in mobile testing, provide technical guidance to other QE team members, and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing efforts.

· Collaborate with development, QE, DevOps, and product management to align quality goals and drive continuous improvement in quality.

· Champion a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence in Quality within the Digital teams, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment.

What you will need:

· Extensive hands-on experience with mobile application test frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, and Detox.

· Proficiency in mobile development languages such as Swift, Kotlin, Java, and frameworks/libraries like React Native.

· Hands on experience with JavaScript

· Experience with visual test automation tools (Storybook, Applitools) and accessibility testing (Axe) a plus.

· Experience with code coverage and quality gating tools such as SonarQube a plus.

· Hands-on Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD

· Proficient in problem-solving, debugging and log analysis to troubleshoot mobile app issues.

· Experience in creating and maintaining test reports/dashboards and defect tracking using tools like Jira, Zephyr, ReportPortal, TestRail, or Allure.

· Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, designers, and QE teams.

· Ability to articulate testing progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders, and contribute to discussions on quality-related decisions.

· Strong analytical skills to identify test scenarios, prioritize testing efforts, and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.

· Knowledge of modern software development practices such as Agile methodologies, continuous integration, and test-driven development (TDD).

· Deep understanding and commitment to software engineering principles and processes (e.g., Lean, Agile, DevOps) and continuous improvement through measurement.

· Preferred degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalen
