About the role

The Department of Environmental Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Environmental Epidemiology. The selected applicant will conduct data analyses investigating the effects of early life exposures, including but not limited to air pollution, metals, and psychosocial stress, on biomarkers of oxidative stress and respiratory outcomes in adolescence. Additional opportunities to investigate the impacts of developmental exposures are also available. The research fellow will work within the Department of Environmental Medicine and the Institute of Exposomic Research.

Eligible candidates may be supported by the T32 Postdoctoral Research Training Program in Environmental Pediatrics (T32HD049311).

A doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, MD) is required. Additional qualifications include:

  • PhD or DrPH in epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health sciences, quantitative risk assessment, or other quantitative related fields.
  • Strong training in biostatistics and epidemiological methods.
  • Strong programming skills in R, Stata, SPSS and/or SAS (R preferred).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and track-record of peer-reviewed publications.
