JOB SUMMARY: This is a Staff Assistant position in the General Tax Administration Program, Refunds and Revenue Accounting Process. The incumbent answers phone calls, composes and edits communications, files and scans documents, and processes incoming mail. The incumbent also assists with personnel matters, prepares reports, schedules and coordinates meetings, and purchases materials and office supplies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • One year of secretarial or clerical work experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semesters or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience.
  • Vocational/technical training in the area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • The required work hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $2,813.34 monthly/$33,760.08 annually.
