Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity on our Supply Chain team as a Senior S&OE (Sales and Operations Execution) Logistics Specialist to oversee the tactical and operational aspects of CHS’s Agricultural processing plants supply chain, focusing on rail and truck traffic management, inventory control, and process automation to enhance analytical capabilities. This role requires coordinating logistics activities, managing transportation of products, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, expertise in SAP systems, and a solid background in logistics, supply chain, or production scheduling. Flexibility is key, with pre-planned weekend availability and the ability to respond to urgent supply chain issues as they arise.
This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Inver Grove Heights, MN global corporate headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a pivotal, high-volume Supply Chain process by collaborating closely with sales and operations teams.
- Lead and develop your team to achieve precision logistics execution through planning and optimization.
- Prepares and facilitate the key update meetings to cooperate with each other and address supply chain matters.
- Collaborate with commercial teams, data scientists, continuous improvement teams, processing plants, and S&OP to ensure efficient product sales/delivery execution.
- Manage and develop a team, providing training and support for Rail Planning and Canola Plant Planning
- Relentlessly seek opportunities to eliminate repetitive data input to make time for continuous improvement projects
- Manage the inventory management inventory reconciliation and integrating new products into SAP.
- Oversee oil crude stock transfer orders, inbound delivery operations, and third-party commodity purchases, optimizing for cost and reliability.
- Manage the creation and adjustment of production orders in PPDS, ensuring alignment with demand.
- Work with team to assure weekends issues are addressed to the relevant teams.
- Implement and support the team with SAP applications and process automation, including running the UIPath bot.
- Monitor and validate commodities in transit, conduct inventory comparison (scale systems vs SAP), and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Address and correct production orders with failed inventory file updates / integration.
- Lead end-of-month processes including production order adjustments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED
- 7+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain planning, or procurement
Additional Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of leadership experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in SAP, SAP PPDS, Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced experience in Excel, and basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI.
- A proven track record in managing rail and truck logistics, with an understanding of standard shipping practices.
- Experience in automating supply chain processes, enhancing analytical capabilities, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions.
