Senior C++ Software Engineer

Keystone Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our team as a consultant for a dynamic project at a leading molecular diagnostics company. This role involves developing high-quality, real-time embedded software for a molecular diagnostic instrument platform and associated software tooling for bio-application development. The position requires working within a mixed Linux/Windows environment using C/C++ and Qt. Key Responsibilities

• Master the existing instrumentation code base.
• Understand the mechatronic fundamentals that the instrument software operates.
• Implement, document, and unit test additional features on existing applications.
• Design, document, implement, and unit test new embedded applications for future diagnostic instruments.
• Liaise closely with third-party development organizations to ensure projects meet time, cost, and medical instrumentation quality objectives.
• Understand and practice the established Software Development Life Cycle.
• Participate and provide input to software architectural discussions and specifications.
• Interact with other subsystem teams (software, electronics, hardware, and Bioinformatics).
• Take product ownership of the instrumentation code base.

Profile Requirements

Technical Requirements:

• Familiarity with:
  • Embedded Linux extensions.
  • Windows application development.
  • C#, .NET (Core) framework, web technology.
  • Working in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment, preferably medical devices or IVD.
  • Cybersecurity-related technologies.
  • Device management across the globe, IoT.

Software and Database Applications:

• Proficient with MS Office.
• Experience with Linux/Windows-based Software Development Environments and associated tools.

Legislation and Regulation:

• Knowledge of applicable international standards (IEC, ISO, CLSI, TIR, etc.) is an asset.

Languages:

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, is a must.
• Proficiency in other European languages is an asset.
