DuPont has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Maintenance Technologist at our Joliet site.
RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION
The Senior Maintenance Technologist is responsible for managing all the infrastructure needs including Maintenance (mechanical and electrical), Contractor Administration, Fire Protection, and road and rail maintenance at the Joliet site in Channahon, Illinois.
Under the general direction of the Site Leader, the Site Infrastructure Coordinator (SIC) is the lead for maintaining all aspects of the site’s operation.
Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:
Coordinates daily work tasks to maintain site fire protection, potable water, electrical structure, road, and rail systems.
Acts as site Contract Administrator
Collects and analyzes plant performance data
Utilizes and implements Most Effective Technology (MET) and uses MOC to communicate changes
Utilizes and develops plant operating discipline
Utilizes Operate Plant work process and plant management system
Acts as focal point for Site engineering documents (P&IDs, etc.)
Lockout/Tagout as required for tasks
Snow removal
Job specific tasks include:
Writing work permits and JSA’s
Vibration testing
Grounding inspections
Daily rain gauge readings
Contractor safety orientations
SAP Operations – Vendor creations; Requisitioning for contractors, projects, and parts; work order entries, completion of PM’s etc.
Monthly Utility readings submissions to cost accountant.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Your qualifications profile:
Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Instrument and Electrical training/certification
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
Demonstrated strong technical and interpersonal skills
Ability to attain Illinois Certified Potable Water Operator after employment with DuPont begins
