About the role

Provides leadership and strategic consulting to business unit leaders on a variety of HR issues. Responsible for implementation of all HR programs for specific client groups and partners with leaders and senior leaders to determine HR implications of the business strategies. Serves as key contact for employees on all HR matters.

Venerable is currently working in a Hybrid Work Model, in the office 3 days/week and remote 2 days/week.

Candidates will be considered to work at our West Chester, PA or Des Moines, IA offices.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures assigned client group(s) has the organizational and human capability to achieve their current and future business objectives through the development and implementation of sound, practical and proactive human resources strategy, policies and practices.

  • This position would generally support an organization that has moderate / high business complexity; would typically define / drive strategic projects independently

  • Work as a strategic business partner by identifying human resource implications (talent management, organizational design, employee selection and development, employee relations, executive and employee compensation, performance management, immigration, and diversity initiatives) relative to business strategies.

  • Participate with other HR leaders and colleagues in the development of organization-wide projects, including understanding their implications to the business and employees.

  • In partnership with HR team members, oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of programs and policies that support business objectives and are necessary and cost effective.

  • Manage or oversee the management of various HR projects for their customer groups including implementation, communication, training, and evaluation of those projects.

  • Identify development and management training and support needs throughout the organization and lead planning or facilitation of development programs.

  • Drive performance management, compensation review, and talent review activities within business unit(s) on an annual basis by delivering tools and techniques to enable managers to coach their staff and comply with HR policies and programs. 

  • Lead recruiting efforts to identify and successfully hire required talent to meet the needs of Venerable’s staffing plans.

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues related to day-to-day management of employees. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations, reducing legal risk and ensuring compliance
