Job Title: Blackstone Credit & Insurance – Senior Associate, Systematic Strategies
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage systemic investment portfolios as part of a high-performing investment team.
- Work alongside senior model managers and portfolio managers along two main dimensions: to help support our new product development and client-driven analysis; and to help support the management and construction of our existing investment models and portfolios.
- Build new models and products and take a lead role in putting together materials for both external and internal clients.
- Perform data validation, analysis, and model output review.
- Perform portfolio analysis and content generation.
- Assist with client reporting and performance and factor analysis.
- Perform market analysis and help to manage our reporting on market news and events.
- Use and create model management tools to identify risks and prioritize research.
- Develop dashboards and interactive GUI that can help with portfolio management.
- Perform product development and support, partnering with client development.
- Partner with PMs and operation support as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field required.
Certification:
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification required.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Minimum 4 years of experience using PowerPoint to generate internal and external presentation materials.
- Minimum 4 years of experience building automation tools using a combination of software to streamline internal or external reporting process.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using Python to perform various types of programming tasks.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting statistical analysis and building quantitative frameworks to analyze problems in secondary market.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience designing and developing interactive GUI to build complex data analytics and visualization tools.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Fixed Income market data and conducting Macroeconomic analysis.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting independent research on financial market using both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience developing in Data Processing language (e.g. SQL) to conduct data aggregation and analysis with large dataset, and build data pipeline.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience writing code in production environment and managing technology
