Purpose:

The purpose of the Associate Director, Patient Engagement CoDesign role is to deliver the global patient and HCP voice to inform the design and execution of clinical research; delivering insights to inform asset profile, program/trial strategy, and drive excellence in clinical trial designs, thereby increasing trial accessibility, reducing patient and site burden, and improving the clinical trial experience.

Clinical Program/Trial Design and Execution

• Develop and implement the strategy for clinical programs to deliver the voice of the patient and HCPs.
• Partner with cross-functional asset team members to determine the best approach to incorporate the patient and HCP insights for each clinical program.
• Lead the CoDesign efforts to deliver insights, including facilitation of focus group sessions or interviews with patients and/or HCPs, creation of meaningful deliverables, and diligent follow up to ensure insights are robustly considered and incorporated (where appropriate) into clinical program design. 
• Enable continuous evolution of capabilities by understanding the external needs and challenges of patients and researchers in addition to the internal needs and challenges of our clinical programs.
• Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate and understand evolving business needs, and explore opportunities for process improvements, standardization, or automation.
• Contribute and maintain sharing of metrics for CoDesign activities.
• Lead the development and adoption of novel approaches to gather insights on the patient and HCP experience.
