General Facilities Assistant - Temporary Summer Position

The General Facilities Assistant shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose:  To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.   

This position performs a broad range of custodial and facility duties for The Navigators’ Headquarters building and the International Office.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

General Maintenance – 90% 

• Perform janitorial duties as assigned, including but not limited to, restroom cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, window cleaning, trash collection, processing linens, dusting, and straightening.  

• Assists with event set up and tear down. 

• Perform lawn care and snow removal activities as assigned. 

• General maintenance and other tasks to maintain appropriate function of the building. 

Additional Responsibilities – 10% 

• Participate in Navigators’ on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings, or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate. 

• Provide a safe and secure environment for employees, and provide good customer service by being professional, prompt, and courteous with building occupants. 

• Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver’s Authorization, and other releases as required. 

• Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system. 

• Other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.  

Experience: Experience in Custodial or related field.  

Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.  

Compensation Range: $14.81-16/hour
