Position Purpose
The Student Success Coordinator works under the supervision of the Director of Student Services or the Head of School and is responsible for managing the school’s student success program including but not limited to assisting with Section 504’s, MTSS program, tutoring, READ Act, and interventions.
Job Duties
- Upholds CEC’s beliefs found on the CEC website.
- Provides direction, consultation, and coordination to ensure comprehensive and sequential curriculum and instruction in various topics
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and assists teachers in modifying instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs to reach or exceed reading standards and goals
- Manages and coordinates referrals and evaluates initial 504 requests.
- Documents teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes, develops lesson plans, models the necessary skills to perform assignments; assesses and provide feedback to administration and teaching staff regarding student progress and achievement and the effectiveness of curriculum
- Works with students, parents, and staff to ensure classroom 504 accommodations are being implemented.
- Provides testing accommodations as outlined in a student’s 504 Plan.
- Participates as a member of MTSS.
- Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for related student activities and achievement as required by district procedures and applicable laws
- Encourages parental involvement in students' education and the benefits of reading and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
- Monitors identified students’ academic progress to ensure the implementation of evidence-based behavioral practices as determined by MTSS team.
- Serves as a resource to school administrators, instructors, and staff by staying current on all applicable laws and regulations.
- Attends meetings and professional development as requested by Director of Student Services or Head of School.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or Special Education or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of current laws, regulations, and guidelines related to Section 504 and Title II under ADA.
- Knowledge of MTSS program and interventions.
- Tutoring experience preferred.
