Job Description Qualifications:

Position Overview:

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity on the United States Air Force (USAF) E-7A Program for a Mission Systems Performance Analysis Engineer. The Mission Systems Team is responsible for design, procurement and integration of the full Mission Systems capability onboard the E-7A. In this role, you will be developing modeling and simulations (M&S) as well as analyzing cutting edge sensors and tracking solutions, providing a clear and concise operating picture to the war fighter. The ideal candidate will have a math, physics, or engineering background and be well versed in Matlab, C++, or other scripting languages.

The E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable and reliable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, having proven itself in operations around the world. The aircraft is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously. It can provide situational awareness and direct other assets such as fighter jets and warships. The E-7A program is an important program for Boeing with significant growth potential.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and documents requirements for various sensors and tracking solutions.

  • Performs complex analysis in modeling and simulation to predict component performance to established requirements.

  • Collects data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.

  • Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle.

  • Supports project management by gathering project status data.

  • Collaborates with multiple integrated production teams (IPT).

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 5+ years of engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., C++, Matlab, Visual Basic, C, Assembly, C#, Java).

  • Experience with modeling and prototyping tools (e.g., Matlab , MathCAD, manufacturer specific tools for signal processing software).

  • Experience with software development and testing tools (e.g., editors, compilers, linkers, desktop simulations, configuration management tools, requirements management tools) capability and usage.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate/present to Boeing and customer teams and leaders.

  • Ability to collaborate with team members and develop execution plans for deliverables.

  • Active Top Secret security clearance preferred

  • Experience in fusion architecture

  • Experience in Modeling and Simulation in the area of analyzing data for one of the following: Radar, ESM, Datalink or EWSP
