DevOps - Platform team (Lightstream)

As a Platform DevOps Engineer at Xsolla, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the Lightstream infrastructure and prepare for its migration to the Xsolla technology stack. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology stack. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a strong background in DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and automation.
While this is a remote position, we can only hire candidates in CA, TX , NC and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines into the development lifecycle.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Manage Linux servers, web servers, and application servers
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to address system and application issues promptly.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters (self-hosted or cloud-based)
• Implement and maintain automated testing and deployment processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and associated tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
