Role Overview

As a GA Pre-K Assistant Teacher, you will support the Lead Teacher in delivering high-quality instruction aligned with Georgia's Pre-K program standards. You will help create an engaging, nurturing classroom environment, assist with developmentally appropriate activities, and support children's social-emotional growth as they prepare for kindergarten success.

You will also:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing lesson plans aligned with state Pre-K guidelines and curriculum.
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
  • Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom management.
  • Partner with parents through consistent, open communication.
  • Help ensure compliance with GA Pre-K state requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher, Directors, and staff to deliver excellence in care and education.

Requirements: 

    • Age: Must be 18 years or older
    • Education: High school diploma or GED required; coursework or CDA in Early Childhood Education (ECE) preferred.
    • Experience: Prior experience in a classroom or childcare setting preferred but not required.

    Pay: $15.00–$22.00 Based on Region and your own education/experience in the Early Education field.
