We are currently seeking compassionate Nurse Technicians (CNA) to join our team and help deliver exceptional care to the children and families we serve.
The Nurse Technician role:
As a Nurse Technician at PSC Hopewell, you will play an important role on a highly collaborative pediatric care team. Working alongside nurses, therapists, and physicians, you will help provide hands-on care and meaningful daily support to our residents. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting nurses with daily care for pediatric residents
- Supporting activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, positioning, and mobility
- Helping create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children
- Building positive relationships with residents and families
- Working closely with nurses, respiratory therapists, and therapy teams to support individualized care plans

Responsibilities
Nurse Technician (CNA) Responsibilities
Pediatric Resident Care
Assist pediatric residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, toileting, dressing, repositioning, lifting, and mobility support.
Support safe movement of residents between beds, chairs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
Routinely check on residents to ensure comfort, safety, and personal care needs are met.
Assist with feeding and meal preparation in accordance with each resident’s care plan.
Clinical Support
Obtain vital signs and assist with clinical tasks following training and competency validation.
Perform supportive clinical duties such as range of motion exercises and ostomy care assistance.
Monitor residents and report any changes in condition to nursing staff promptly.
Document care and services provided in the medical record in accordance with facility procedures.
Environment & Daily Operations
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning toys, equipment, and spills.
Assist with transporting residents within the center and to appointments when needed.
Teamwork & Resident Experience
Help create a warm, supportive, and engaging environment for children and families.
Provide activities and interaction that support physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.
Maintain confidentiality and respect for each resident’s privacy and personal belongings.
Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and other team members to support individualized care plans.

Qualifications
Nurse Technician (CNA)
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possesses and maintains current, valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Current, valid driver license
- Proficiency with computer programs an
