The Senior Practice Manager (Licensed) provides operational and administrative support to physicians and practice administrator regarding policies and procedures; employee related training, capital procurement and space allocation for multiple sites. This individual serves as a liaison with the VP of Network Operations, all levels of Mount Sinai Health System leadership to ensure communication and protocols are adhered to.
- Responsible for the day to day administration of the department, encompassing operational, administrative and financial areas. Directs multiple offices in operational strategies by analyzing trends, productivity, quality and customer service strategies.
- Accomplishes business office human resource strategies by determining accountabilities, communicating and enforcing values, policies and procedures, implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions and reviewing compensation strategies.
- Formulates and recommends annual operating budget in salary and supply areas; works with subordinate staff in identifying budgetary requirements oversees proficiencies in billing and coding activities. Monitors variance activity on a monthly basis.
- Develops policies and procedures consistent with sound operational practice and as required by institution and regulatory agencies.
- Maintains legal and accreditation compliance, supporting and upholding hospital and department policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environment and infection control and anticipation of emerging issues.
- Serves as liaison to all levels of Mount Sinai Health System leadership, including VP Network Operations, Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Executive Committee and Practice Administrator to ensure the strategic goals of the Network are met.
- Supervises and coordinates various personnel activities including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, and training, disciplining and making salary increase recommendations.
- Fosters an environment of open communication and team work in support of the department and organization’s goals and objectives.
- Provides information by preparing and analyzing statistical, operational and other reports for leadership, and participates in meetings to receive and disseminate departmental information and direction.
- Assists in the development of new methods, procedures and/or processes to increase efficiency and to improve service deliver, production, equipment performance, scheduling and quality control.
- Ensures adequate staffing for unexpected/emergency coverage.
- Provides work direction, guidance, coaching and training for staff.
- Perform patient care based on departmental needs; including but not limited to evaluation, treatment, authorization and administrative responsibilities
- Performs other related duties.
Education Requirements ��
NYS License in practice area i.e PT,OT, SLP . Bachelor’s degree; Masters degree preferred
Experience Requirements
5+ year’s minimum management experience in a large physician practice or healthcare setting
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $95,450.00 - $150,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
