Student Intern, Help Desk Support *Remote*

Providence is calling a Student Intern, Helpdesk Support who will:
- Work as a member of the Enterprise IT team
- Offer tier 1 IT support to end users via phone, email, helpdesk ticketing, and messaging
- Facilitate the transfer of escalated (tier 2) IT support requests to the appropriate team(s)
- Configure, package and ship IT equipment to new employees
- Facilitate and manage IT equipment returns
- Assists with and actively participates in departmental projects and initiatives
Please note the following important details regarding this role:
- Providence welcomes 100% remote work for residents who reside within a one (1) hour commute of our office location listed below:
- Oregon: Salem
- This is a temporary, non-benefitted position
- This role is intended to be a summer position for a current college student or high school student that is college bound
- The successful applicant for this position will be employed for a duration of time during the Summer of 2024
- The program will last approximately one year and is anticipated to end around 8/30/2025, however, this may change based upon an actual start date for the role and department needs
- This position will require for you to come into the office as defined by management and departmental needs
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Coursework/Training: Acceptance to or current enrollment in a minimum 2-year degree program
- Coursework/Training: Pursuing a technology related degree or equivalent
- No actual work experience in an IS environment is required

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
