Description
SUMMARY:
Responsible for general maintenance at all FHS sites including mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Completes minor plumbing, electrical and heating/cooling system repair. Participate in planning construction and remodeling projects. Completes construction activities as needed for projects. Provides for storage and inventory coordination of cleaning and office supplies, furniture and medical equipment. Oversees maintenance of company vehicles. Courier between clinics and administration as necessary.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Unrestricted, valid driver’s license. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
$21.00 - $26.00 DOE
Employee's can earn up to $520 on the quarterly bonus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· Knowledge of building trades – carpentry and construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Understanding of maintenance requirements and ability to perform general maintenance repair work on buildings and equipment.
· Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
· Ability to perform numerical calculations. Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to meet and interact positively with others. Negotiate effectively.
· Ability to lift various objects routinely between 50-75 lbs.
· Ability to work various hours including evenings and weekends.
· Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
· Ability to travel between FHS facilities as required.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
· Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
· Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
· Records maintenance skills.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
1. Monitor and maintain general maintenance of all FHS Health Centers and administration buildings.
2. Monitor, maintain, and perform repairs to building electrical facilities as appropriate.
3. Monitor performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for the facility. Perform standard repair and/or replacement of components, as appropriate.
4. Monitor and perform maintenance of plumbing system as appropriate.
5. Perform construction tasks as needed including carpentry, sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window repair, cabinet and countertop repair, painting and texturing, and door and hardware installation; paints interior and exterior finishes, as appropriate.
6. Supervise workers engaged in painting and/or structural repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings of buildings. Coordinate repairs with outside contractors as needed.
7. Coordinates assembly of furniture and equipment.
8. Repair and replace locks.
9. Manage storage of supplies and medical equipment. Coordinate transportation.
10. Oversee inventory and storage of medical equipment. Coordinate moving equipment when needed.
11. Requisition tools, equipment and supplies as needed.
12. Ensure maintenance and repair of company vehicles.
13. Participate in ground maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, raking and disposing of leaves and refuse and maintenance of sprinkler systems for change of seasons.
14. Coordinate snow removal at each clinic and administration to help with patient and employee safety. Maintain inventory of supplies for removal of snow at each FHS site.
15. Documents facilities maintenance requirements; maintains appropriate records of work performed.
16. Ensure proper use, care and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
17. Coordinate driving, set-up, and maintenance of Mobile Dental Unit (MDU).
18. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
