The Position
The Business Excellence Project Manager will be a critical driving force for execution of product marketing activities to ensure market readiness and commercial success through the coordination of cross-functional teams and adherence to timelines. The initial focus of this role will be in the support of the diabetes therapeutic area, specifically the upcoming Icodec launch.
Relationships
Reports to Go to Market Excellence Lead. Fosters strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, field, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs, to align on objectives, share insights, and address challenges throughout the Icodec launch process.
Essential Functions
- Launch Project Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive brand level project plan to support the Icodec launch, outlining key milestones, timelines, dependencies, and resource requirements to ensure successful market entry and maximum product impact
- Project Management: Execute effective project management by overseeing all aspects of the Icodec launch, including coordinating activities, managing timelines, and ensuring that project goals are achieved within budget and regulatory compliance
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential risks and challenges that may impact the launch timeline or success. Help teams align on mitigation strategies to address issues promptly and ensure a smooth process
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a central point of contact for all brand-related activities, facilitating communication and information flow across departments
- Communication and Reporting: Facilitate clear and consistent communication among team members and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones achieved, and potential challenges to senior management, enabling informed decision-making and proactive problem-solving
- Process Optimization: Supports initiatives focused on continuous improvement of launch and marketing execution by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing processes to optimize brand outcomes based on Icodec launch activities. Capture lessons learned and best practices in business excellence for future use across the portfolio
Physical Requirements
Approximately 20-30% overnight travel.
Development of People
Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.
Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.
Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience, including demonstrated history in business excellence, launch excellence, project management, or related roles preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience with local and global operations within life sciences preferred
- Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated success in commercial planning, including driving and implementing best practices
