A Day in the Life

As a Commercial Capability Integration Manager on the "Growth Driver" team, you'll serve as the critical bridge between Medtronic's enterprise growth strategies and field implementation. You'll support commercial frameworks that enable consistent execution of our highest-priority commercial growth drivers across the U.S. (though the role does have global overlay).

Your primary responsibility will be piloting strategy tools. Working at the intersection of strategy and execution, you'll ensure that enterprise initiatives for key growth areas like Enterprise Accounts and Service & Repair are effectively scaled through well-designed platforms.

In this role, you'll collaborate with strategy teams (including the COE arm) to understand business priorities, work with regional deployment teams to ensure appropriate market adaptation, and measure the impact of capability rollouts on commercial performance metrics.

The ideal candidate combines sales manager expertise, field-based training and development, sales acumen, change agility, and has experience implementing commercial programs in a global organization.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.
  • Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
  • Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives.
  • Maintains communication with customers to ensure effectiveness of training.
  • May utilize trainers with technical expertise.
  • Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT CAREER STREAM: Program Managers and Directors focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typically accomplish program objectives through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead. The majority of time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing program/team performance, communicating project and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of program team members. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of program team members.
