Directs and provides nursing care for end stage renal disease (ESRD) patients by demonstrating nursing knowledge through application of the nursing process specific to assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation of the plan and of the care provided. Understanding of principles of hemodialysis and its implications for patient and nurse. Possesses skills in the management of dialytic therapy and equipment. Leadership abilities in functioning as a professional role model.
