We now want to make fossil free living possible within one generation and we are driving the transition to a sustainable energy system.</p><p>Vattenfall Generation produces dispatchable fossil-free electricity and deliver services related to construction, operation, decommissioning and waste management of facilities and infrastructure essential to the power system and our almost 7 000 employees are located in Sweden and Germany.</p><p>For our Business Areas Generation, Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as <strong>Vice President Business Control</strong>.  You will be a member of the executive management team of the business area where you are involved in all aspects of the business from strategy to a seamless business planning process and rolling forecasting.  You will have an important role in the finance steering of Vattenfall and you will also be a member of the Finance Leadership Team where the finance function within Vattenfall is steered, cross-functional finance decisions are taken and information are shared. We offer a challenging and exciting position in an experienced business setting.</p><h3>Jobbeskrivning</h3><p>The Business control unit is responsible for controlling including financial reporting and IT demand for Business area Generation. There is a small central team of 12 employees but all in all the functional area of controlling are about 60 employees within Generation but located to the eight Business Units.</p><p>In our strive for effective ways of working – the controlling unit drives several networks where all the Business Units are participating and our Business Review process is an important part of our business steering and governance structure. There is also a close cooperation with Group staff functions to ensure high quality support aligned with our business needs in the areas of (to mention a few) risk, procurement, internal audit, shared service finance, IT etc.</p><p><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></p><p>As Business Area Business Controller you have the following key responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Ensure a transparent and predictable financial reporting for Business Area Generation by preparing and executing on planning, forecasting and management reporting processes and to ensure tight follow-up on all financial metrics and activities</li><li>Ensure efficient and effective controlling processes and tools</li><li>Support the translation of strategic plans into steering requirements and performance targets</li><li>Bring finance acumen to the business decision process, lead financial improvement initiatives and to develop our way of steering the investment portfolio.</li><li>Support management with proactive business control and analysis</li><li>Improve how we work with it- development and increase our ability to cooperate within Vattenfall  Generation and improve steering of project costs.</li><li>Be a valuable and active member of the Generation management team and lead and develop people within the Controlling unit</li><li>Lead the work with provisions, cost calculation and safeguard transparency when it comes to our larger projects.</li></ul><h3>Kvalifikationer</h3><p><strong>Professional characteristics </strong></p><p>We are looking for a candidate with the following professional characteristics:</p><ul><li>University degree in Business Administration, Economics or other relevant academic degree</li><li>Professional experience as a senior controller or CFO, preferably in larger organisation</li><li>Extensive experience as a leader in an international organization</li><li>Experience of develop controlling organisations to high quality and cost efficiency.</li><li>Strong business acumen and commercial thinking.</li><li>Experience of leading change; change management, communicative leadership and stakeholder management.</li><li>Experience from asset-heavy industry, with large capex</li><li>Strong command of Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing</li></ul><p><strong>Personal characteristics</strong></p><ul><li>You are an experienced leader with a proven track record when it comes to leading large organisations and have a personal interest in developing your people and the teams you are part of.</li><li>You have excellent cooperation and communication skills with the ability to convey complex information and manage different stakeholders on all managerial levels.</li><li>You are performance oriented, accountable for driving results and you both give feedback and expect to receive feedback.</li><li>Your view on diversity &amp; inclusion is that it is and should be a natural par
