Field Service Technician - Northeast (38011)

Role Overview: 

The Field Service Technician role will possess a high knowledge level on all products and clinical/laboratory processes including but not limited to identification of implants and attachment systems, products, traditional and digital dentistry. They will trouble shoot customer issues on high level technical challenges and digital workflow cases and provide professional service to ensure sales and repeat business. They will effectively communicate with a diverse customer base in person and via phone, email, and fax to make sales calls, respond to inquiries, place orders, problem solve, obtain information, and communicate product information; as well as identify and complete revenue generating opportunities with customers and prospects. This role will have extensive technical background and provide support/mentorship to technical team, customer service and sales.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide technical service to customers via phone, email, live chat and in-person in the field.
• Present continuing education courses/lectures to both dental laboratory technicians and dentists
• Represent the company at select trade shows/events and visit customers as necessary.
• Provide implant identification services.
• Reply to all inquiries (email, phone, chat, text) within 30 minutes to provide top notch service.
• Provide support & guidance to the customer service and sales team as needed.
• Provide support for all digital workflows with expertise in all systems including 3shape and Exocad with the ability to troubleshoot customer error messages and take control of computer to solve site on seen.
• Provide training materials to the team, Preat U and small courses to provide part knowledge to the team.
• Utilize all available tools, including ERP system and CRM database.
• Accurately create and maintain customer records in ERP and CRM systems, including order preferences, product specific feedback, address information, billing information, and contact preferences.
• Responsible for achieving all goals and metrics as assigned.
• Sales Related Duties
  • Meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Grow and expand business with current customer base.
  • Independently find and grow new customer opportunities. 
  • Answering sales and customer service-related inbound calls
  • Make outbound sales or service-related calls as requested.
  • Help drive special initiatives such as rebate programs, campaigns, web sales growth or others as requested by management.
  • Any additional duties assigned by supervisor and/or manager.

Qualifications: 

Training and Experience

• 5 or more years’ experience in Dental Technology industry
• 2 or more years’ experience in a Dental Laboratory
• 2 or more years’ experience in digital design
• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements: 

Travel up to 50%.

Working Conditions

Office environment and occasional exposure to manufacturing plant environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust, and atmospheric conditions.
