As an RN Transport ICU you will be part of a team providing exceptional patient care at Banner Estrella Medical Center. This position is part of Clinical Care Operations, which is the hub of patient management for the campus, including bed assignment, unit staffing, house supervision, emergency preparedness (code events and internal disasters), patient transports, dispatch, and data analysis. Several employee groups report to this department, including clinical positions such as RN House Senior Managers, SWAT RNs, and Resource Team (RNs, NAs, PCAs, HUCs, and BHTs) plus non-clinical roles such as Office Supervisor, Transport Supervisor, Dispatchers, Placement Reps, and Information Specialists.   

As an Registered Nurse with the Transport ICU, you will provide patients with a seamless transition throughout the facility by responding to RN required calls for patients in need of higher level of care transports, including ED upgrades/downgrades, patients on BiPAP/high flow, and monitored patients. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting transporters with regular calls, when available. The Transport RN ICU will also assist the SWAT RNs in responding to code events to see if additional support is needed, including: rapid response calls, code blue, and stroke alerts. This is a very active role - Transport RN's walk an average of 15K steps per day! Opportunity to work 3x12 - hour shifts, Day Shift (9:00AM - 9:30PM) with weekend and holiday rotations. Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable. As an added bonus, ICU Transport RNs also enjoy an additional $3/hr float incentive on top of base pay.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members.
