How You Will Contribute:
The Principal Consultant, Advisory Services provides executive leadership in broadcast media control operations and distribution services, providing strategic advisory, technical leadership, and client-facing consulting expertise. This individual bridges deep domain knowledge of broadcast workflows with modern IP- and cloud-based distribution models, guiding clients through digital transformation, operational excellence, and technology modernization. As a trusted advisor, the Principal Consultant defines strategy, shapes solutions, and ensures delivery alignment across complex consulting and integration engagements.
As Principal Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of media distribution for leading global broadcasters and media companies. By combining technical mastery with strategic vision, you will help clients modernize their operations, optimize cost structures, and accelerate delivery across emerging platforms, ensuring their ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving content landscape.
What Will You Do:
Client Consultation & Advisory
• Serve as the thought leader and strategist for key clients, leading the ideation, design, integration and operations on master control, playout, content distribution, and transmission ecosystems, advising clients on technology strategy, workflow optimization, and operational models
• Partner with senior stakeholders (CTOs, Heads of Engineering, Operations, and Distribution) to identify business challenges, design solutions, and deliver actionable roadmaps.
• Define technology and workflow architectures across linear broadcast, OTT, FAST, and hybrid distribution platforms, including on-prem, decentralized, and hybrid deployments.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients on content-related workstreams, inclusive of supporting commercial pursuits, as well as the lead stakeholder in conducting assessments in a billable post-sales capacity.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development associates to collaborate on solution shaping, proposal development, client presentations, and opportunity qualification.
• Represent Diversified as a recognized expert in media control and distribution, contributing to white papers, industry panels, and client briefings.
• Provide senior governance over engagements from inception to completion, monitoring progress and ensuring deliverables align with business outcomes, timelines, and budgets.
• Create custom solutions and strategies based on client requirements, participate in RFP conversations, client pitches, as well as quoting creative activities and budgets.
• Maintain an authoritative role versed in technology knowledge and vendor product offering, conducting market research and analysis to maintain competitive edge in support of practice growth.
• Work cross-functionally with content management, sales, engineering, project management, and leadership teams, setting direction and accountability while ensuring operational excellence and quality assurance.
• Maintain organized documentation, timelines, and asset libraries.
• Mentor cross-functional teams of engineers and project leaders to elevate standards and expand capabilities.
