Job Description

This role is perfect for an energetic storyteller to work with Merkle’s Marketing team, bringing confident experience in all digital formats: video, ads, website, emails and strategic content like ebooks, events, and more.
  
The ideal candidate can simplify complex enterprise speak and translate it into conversational, digestible marketing copy, while making a noticeable impact on Merkle's brand voice and tone.

Qualifications

• Strong narrative writing skills, with experience and knowledge across both short-form and long-form writing formats in all digital channels.
• A solid portfolio of writing samples to include video, email, social, and website.
• Experience with interviewing and script writing, with a natural curiosity and inclination to uncover and convey meaning.
• A positive, critical-thinker with an audience-centered mindset who can determine key themes and convey them in a clear and organized way.
• An ability to articulate complex, technical, or niche ideas into simple and engaging language that most people can understand.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of copywriting in-house or in an agency role
• Familiarity with social platforms and web content management systems. Design and media software experience is a plus.
• Proficient in English
• Bachelor’s degree in creative writing, communications, or journalism.

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is ($68,000- $110,400). Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
