What You’ll Do

Under the direction of the Value Stream Leader and Senior Team Leader, this position is responsible for Assembling of tools and sub-assemblies of hydraulic tools.

This position is responsible for the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Assemble tools and sub-assemblies of hydraulic tools
• Perform testing and occasional troubleshooting of assemblies
• Meet performance standards per job/task, as outlined on product routers.
• Operate overhead crane, jib hoist, forklift, and other lifting devices safely and properly.

• Maintain safe and organized work area, including end of shift clean up and light maintenance in accordance with 5S standards.
• Perform cross-functional tasks when necessary (shipping, receiving, machinist helper activities, etc.)

• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisor(s) and coworker(s).
• Always use and follow personal protective equipment program.
• Required to adhere to all safety programs and policies.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Assist in documenting standard work procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing; repetitive motion of hand/wrist.
• Ability to lift 1-40 pounds.  
• Intermittent bending; crouching; repetitive motion of elbow/shoulder; pushing/pulling and lifting 15-40 pounds. 
• Seldom climbing; reaching above; lifting under 40 pounds without assistance; working at heights or laying in a prone position.

Work Environment

• Exposure to typical manufacturing areas may be required and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection.
• The work environment will include their own workstation or cubicle space equipped with a telephone, headset and computer as required for the job.
• Team member must be mobile enough to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely including walking and standing for up to 4 hours at a time.

• Ability to understand and follow written and oral procedures
• Positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to assist where needed
• Must demonstrate the energy level, ability to learn, and attention to detail required to be effective
• Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
