POSITION TITLE

Manufacturing - Process Improvement Engineer

 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

We have full-time process improvement engineer openings at various locations across the North and Southeast, including positions in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, and Massachusetts. Located at one of Milliken’s manufacturing plants in those regions, this position reports to the Process Improvement Manager. This role will provide the candidate with opportunities in leading continuous improvement efforts at the site and the key role it has in the development and implementation of manufacturing process improvements, driving new performance levels, improving quality, consistency and cost. This position is located at one of Milliken’s manufacturing plants and reports to the Process Improvement Manager. . 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a thorough understanding of all factors and conditions that impact the processes and products, including environmental impacts
  • Use sound project management skills to manage multiple projects
  • Analyze problems and implement solutions using critical thinking skills and focused improvement methods
  • Incorporate creative thinking into the problem-solving approach to identify unique and different ways to make things better/more consistent/faster/cheaper/efficient
  • Prepare diagrams, charts, tables to reflect findings and support recommendations
  • Communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of associates to accomplish project and location goals
  • Participate fully in the Safety Process

 

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • BS Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Detail oriented
  • Organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Skills and ability to evaluate
