Global RFP Director

MongoDB is looking for a highly motivated and driven Global RFP Director with strong leadership and organizational skills who can work globally to demanding deadlines across different time zones to join our Global RFP function. This is a new and important role responsible for leading the Global RFP team, which is currently based in the US, Ireland, and India. 

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in NewYork City for our hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build a strong team, with a focus on coaching and development
• Champion internal relationships with all levels of the organization
• Partner with the various teams (Security, Finance, Legal, Solution Architects, Product, Sales, Deal Strategy etc.) to actively respond to in-depth RFPs, RFIs, and Security Questionnaires 
• Monitor the progress of the RFP response and communicates progress regularly and with clarity to the relevant stakeholders, ensuring that major issues are escalated and addressed
• Continuous interactions and improvements with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts on content generation and building/updating a content repository/library, includes creating and maintaining documentation for RFP processes
• Drive global best practices around proposal qualification and response process
• Establish metrics and processes to improve business visibility and consistency of practices across geographies
• Identify areas of opportunity for continuous improvement, increased efficiency and productivity
• Develop and drive enablement of the RFP process and workflows for internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years experience working in a high-functioning sales or sales support organization, preferably in a SaaS environment
• Experience leading a high-performing global team
• Experience completing RFIs/RFPs/Security Questionnaires
• Experience with the content management and automation capabilities of RFP software like RFPIO, Loopio, or similar
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation, organizational, technical, and project management skills
• Strong ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with remote and on-site team members
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Work to time constraints while maintaining a high level of attention to detail; prioritizing tasks and setting expectations accordingly, especially under pressure
• Well organized and a self-motivated team player
• Must thrive on the excitement and challenge of being on a lean and busy team
