Keep reading!</strong></span></p> <p><span>As a QA Automation Engineer at PropHero, you will be the guardian of product quality—designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks that ensure our platform is stable, scalable, and delightful to use. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to define testing strategies, write robust automated tests, and integrate quality checks into our CI/CD pipelines. You’ll champion a culture of quality across the team, proactively identifying potential issues before they impact our customers, and continuously improving our testing processes with modern tools and AI-driven approaches.</span></p> <p><span><strong>How you will shape Prophero:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span><strong>Test Automation Development: </strong>Build, maintain, and improve automated test frameworks for web, mobile (Flutter), and backend (Node.js) services.</span></li> <li><span><strong>Quality Strategy: </strong>Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality gates for releases.</span></li> <li><span><strong>Continuous Integration &amp; Delivery: </strong>Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring rapid, reliable feedback on code quality.</span></li> <li><span><strong>Defect Prevention &amp; Analysis: </strong>Identify root causes of issues, drive preventative measures, and maintain high standards for defect-free releases.</span></li> <li><span><strong>Performance &amp; Security Testing:</strong> Implement automated performance, load, and basic security tests to ensure scalability and resilience.</span></li> <li><span><strong>Tooling &amp; Best Practices: </strong>Research, propose, and adopt new testing tools, frameworks, and AI-driven solutions to increase coverage and efficiency.</span></li> <li><span><strong>Documentation &amp; Reporting: </strong>Maintain clear test documentation and provide actionable quality metrics to stakeholders.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>What you will bring to our team:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Proven experience building and maintaining automated test suites for web and/or mobile apps.</span></li> <li><span>Hands-on experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Selenium, or similar.</span></li> <li><span>Familiarity with testing RESTful APIs, including independently testing and understanding endpoints using tools like Postman or Insomnia.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).</span></li> <li><span>Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS preferred) and testing in distributed systems.</span></li> <li><span>Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to finding issues.</span></li> <li><span>Understanding of performance, load, and security testing practices.</span></li> <li><span>Experience defining and tracking QA metrics (e.g., coverage, defect leakage, pass/fail rates).</span></li> <li><span>Excellent cross-functional communication skills—able to work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to clearly document and explain defects, test plans, and automation strategies.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>Why PropHero:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span><strong>Impact &amp; Ownership: </strong>You’ll be the second Front End Engineer in the team, with the autonomy to shape processes, culture, and the future roadmap.</span></li> <li><span><strong>Product &amp; Tech depth:</strong> Many opportunities to keep building the Product and Tech in the coming years, expanding into Open Banking, AI, open Marketplace, and smart advisor areas.</span></li> <li><span><strong>Economic model: </strong>Health
