Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on health management, post-discharge care, and treatment options
- Document patient information thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with facilities policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- CPR Certification
- Proven experience in a nursing home environment preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple priorities
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, some weekends, and some holidays
