Medical Staff Coordinator

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include using computerized credentialing software to manage provider applications within a healthcare facility; using software applications such as word processing and databases and internet database applications for data entry, file maintenance and data retrieval; evaluating medical staff files to determine appropriate response to incoming requests for verification of hospital affiliation and clinical privileges from other healthcare facilities and state licensing agencies. OR Completion of 1 full year of graduate (18 semester hours) level education that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Completion of a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A) in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the positions. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level l in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include independently coordinating the credentialing and privileging process for a health care facility; using computerized credentialing software to manage provider applications within a healthcare facility; using software applications such as word processing and databases and internet database applications for data entry, file maintenance and data retrieval; evaluating medical staff files to determine appropriate response to incoming requests for verification of hospital affiliation and clinical privileges from other healthcare facilities and state licensing agencies; and independently researching reference materials, regulations, and standards to identify appropriate action necessary to correct problems or issues. OR Completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two (2) full years (36 semester hours) of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels and positions for which both education and experience are acceptable.
