Job Description

Here at Universal’s Filmed Entertainment Group, we bring our campaigns to life by weaving innovation and creativity into our marketing campaigns. The Global Partnership Marketing team is looking for a Director, International Sales, Latin America and Asia Pacific, who is passionate about Film, Brand Partnerships and the International Marketplace to lead the Theatrical Brand Partnerships activities for all Universal titles within the Latin America and Asia Pacific regions with a focus on delivering breakthrough regional and local film partnerships in the assigned regions that become a part of the cultural conversation, generate exposure and drive revenue for Universal’s film releases. This position will report to the VP, International Partnership Marketing.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead International Partnerships Sales activities for Universal titles across Latin America and Asia Pacific with key responsibilities including but not limited to identifying, soliciting and pitching Universal titles directly to potential partners, direction of the local in-market teams and outside agencies promotional efforts and communication to internal and external stakeholders on a consistent basis
  • Develop International promotional strategies
  • Pitch and negotiate partnerships directly with Tier 1 Brands
  • Direct and collaborate with in-market theatrical teams on our film partnership efforts
  • Manage promotions efforts of external/local agencies against our global, regional and local promotional, licensing and retail efforts (essential to coordinate with key internal stakeholders)
  • Coordinate and communicate with Universal Pictures executives and local Universal Pictures offices throughout the regions and 3rd party promotions agencies
  • Oversee promotions budget with management and Finance for assigned regions

 

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience of marketing experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Movie Studio experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in additional languages a plus
  • Deep knowledge of International Partnerships business and contacts with top 3rd Party Brand Partners in the regions
  • Experience managing International partnerships across many countries and territories
  • Track record of leading sales efforts for entertainment properties
  • Strong pitching and negotiating skills with the ability to close large deals
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across many different territories and time zones
  • Experience working with filmmakers or creatives
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop clear and consistent messages across many different stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize partners and categories that deliver significant media and revenue
  • Bachelor’s degree

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
