About the role

Tyto Athene is searching for highly qualified Cloud Operations Manager to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performed the duties as the Cloud Operations Manager and leads daily operations of enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure, ensuring secure, compliant, and highly available environments that meet mission-critical demands. This role oversees cloud infrastructure teams, manages vendor SLAs, implements governance and automation standards, and ensures compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks and performance objectives.
  • Direct the operations of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid), including resource provisioning, monitoring, patching, and incident response.
  • Lead DevOps/SRE/CloudOps teams to support system uptime, capacity planning, and optimization.
  • Drive automation initiatives across infrastructure and security operations using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and CI/CD tools.
  • Continuously improve observability, incident response, and service delivery metrics (SLOs/SLIs).
  • Support 24/7/365 operations at Doral, FL, COOP, Exercises, and Deployments

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience and HS or AA/AS or BA/BS or MA/MS

Desired:

  • Master’s Degree in Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, or DevOps Engineering.

 

Certification: Must meet (IAM/IAT Level II):

 

Preferred Cloud Provider Certifications

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Pro
  • AZ-400: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
  • AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
