Job Description

AECOM has a position available for immediate employment as a Business Process Improvement Analyst III with the Environment Planning and Permitting Practice in Northern California. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team of planners, scientists, and project managers that are responsible for multiple projects involving reporting, permitting, environmental planning, and implementing and documenting compliance. The successful candidate will have experience working collaboratively with teams to implement consistent protocols for quality assurance reviews and in developing practices to gain efficiencies in executing multiple projects and/or programs. 

The responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Develop and measure standard metrics, diagramming the flow, including inputs and outputs, of a business process, identifying opportunities for improvement, developing a project plan for implementing improvements and monitoring the new process to ensure it works as intended.
• Prepare reports and statistics.
• Work with front-line staff to identify improvement opportunities and coach employees on how to work more efficiently.
• Use prescribed guidelines or policies, and existing procedures, to analyze and resolve problems.
• Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
• Successfully execute environmental planning and permitting projects while meeting cost, schedule, safety, and quality objectives.
• Provide recommendations and develop innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop work programs designed to provide innovative and progressive project solutions.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients to enhance client retention and growth.
• Support project management tasks, including preparation of scope and cost estimates, financial and budgetary management, resource allocation and scheduling, and engagement of subcontractors.
• Effective verbal and written communication, liaison and management of clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, vendors, and analytical laboratories
• Perform a range of mainly straightforward assignments.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
