Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the the Data Center and Cloud Optimization Program (DCCO) within our Marketing Team to write and develop a variety of customer-facing content for our organization. This individual will create a variety of document types, including, but not limited to SOPs, informative, persuasive, and marketing content, web content, white papers, slick sheets, Success Stories, etc.
Required to be local to the DC Metro Region.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Generating content goals and strategies, and pitching ideas to Marketing and DCCO leadership.
- Performing final reviews and edits on content/documents prior to publication.
- Create unique, user-friendly, and informative content while adhering to both Peraton and the customer’s style guidelines as well as the best SEO practices.
- Collaborate with other DCCO teams and personal to brainstorm subjects for creative content.
- Interview subjects for pre-content information or for spotlight/success story pieces.
- Write storyboards and/or outlines to map out content-heavy projects.
- Write technical content for organization products and services.
- Stay in tune with industry standards related to creating engaging and interactive content.
- Multi-task and provide status updates on a weekly basis.
- Perform thorough research prior to creating innovative content.
- Collaborate with a variety of team members and should be comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience or Master’s degree and 3 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Experience with copyrighting, conceptual graphic design, journalism, editing, or a related field.
- Highly creative in identifying target audiences and devising digital.
- Basic understanding of HTML and SEO.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exemplary communication, analytical skills, and technical knowledge across the client environment.
- Experience producing concise and clear technical documentation.
- Possess phenomenal writing and editing skills with an attention to detail and quality.
- Strong presentation development skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Web Development as well as Search Engine Optimization.
- ITIL v4 Certification.

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Apply for this role
