About the role

The Operations Support Coordinator will coordinate daily inventory transactions related processes such as: inventory movements, cycle counts, inventory issuing, and weekly physical inventory count. This position will communicate with the Operations Team regarding the selection of inventory and will complete necessary testing packets for both inbound and outbound equipment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Regional Supply Chain Management and Regional Operations Management Teams to develop and implement process improvements and eliminate errors throughout.  This position does require the ideal candidate to be the central point of contact for questions coming from the shop and will have several team members to address at any given time. This position will be part of the day-to-day group and will not be fully dedicated to an office.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Incorporate inventory controls to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Communicate with Operations team to ensure pick sheets are accurate
  • Complete inventory allocation transactions in MRP system while reviewing equipment testing, inspections and creating shippers and Testing Files.
  • Institute best practices as they relate to inventory management.
  • Perform inventory transactions such as workorders and receiving in MRP system.
  • Regularly verify & cycle count inventory as inaccuracies are reported or requested.
  • Coordinate with Plant Management to improve inventory, testing and inspection processes
  • Validate inventory transfers from warehouse while team is unloading
  • Report scrap loads leaving the facility – Check against CO inventory
  • Recognize and suggest improvements to eliminate errors throughout operations
  • Ability to learn testing criteria, create and process using testing information
  • Create equipment move sheets.
  • Assist operations leadership in process audits and improvement
  • Ability to adjust work schedule and/or work overtime.
  • Assist leadership in tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI’S)
  • Working hands on with equipment and testing machines

 

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP/WMS fundamentals related to Inventory Control
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Google sheets
  • A proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work as a Team
  • Strong aptitude to learn new systems and system functions
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
  • Strong team communication
