Job Description

Position: EDI Programmer Analyst

Location: Mason, OH (Hybrid)

Duration: Contract

Mandatory:

• 5 years of experience in an EDI Analysts role programming AS/400 iSeries, RPG IV, RPG ILE, CL ILE, embedded SQL.
• EDI partners and processes to IBM midrange iSeries applications on DB2 databases and Sterling B@B
• Lightwell experience would be great.

ESSENTIAL ROLES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and update EDI maps in Sterling, B2B.
• Provide analysis and programming using AS/400 iSeries, RPG IV, RPG ILE, CL ILE, embedded SQL.
• Solid understanding of information technology networking and coding to integrate systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills to incorporate the multi-site and business channels.
• Develop automated integration processes for Frontier ERP to existing and new applications.
• Analyze business requirements, processes, data and systems to determine appropriate solutions.
• The Programmer/Analyst will design, code, test, debug and document software according to systems standards, policies, procedures, security and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex problems using analytical and debugging skills necessary to analyze issues related to RPGLE and CLLE, ability to modify programs and write fix programs to correct data if necessary.
• Ensures that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
• Provide application support by enhancing and extending the system as specified via service desk service requests and change management requests.
• Participate and/or lead where applicable in problem determination & resolution including escalating issues where necessary to resolve customer issues and/or enhancements.
• Analyze business needs, and design, develop, and maintain mission critical software applications residing on different systems and databases including DB2, Microsoft SQL and MySQL.
• Maintain data integrity within the production/test environments including the execution of proper backup and restoration policies and procedures.
• Participate in team on call rotation providing 24/7 Incident Response.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• • Proven experience onboarding and maintaining multiple EDI partners and processes to IBM midrange iSeries applications on DB2 databases and Sterling B@B
  • 5 years of experience in an EDI Analysts role programming AS/400 iSeries, RPG IV, RPG ILE, CL ILE, embedded SQL.
  • IBM Sterling B2B EDI, individual versed in best practices to drive key decisions in the areas of design, architecture, data/integration, security across a variety of file integration projects and platform initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills when using the current system and possibly designing a new system.
  • Proficient in writing technical programs, documentation and integration procedures.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness to accept ownership of project related tasks as assigned.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive/technical information to various levels of the organization.
  • Maintain solid working relationships with peers, user community and vendors.
