Description

RDA a leading provider of professional civil engineering to the public and private sectors, has excellent opportunities for motivated civil engineering professionals. This position will provide advancement opportunities for the complete development of transportation projects for VDOT and local municipalities. Transportation Engineers will gain progressive design experience with highway, water resource/hydraulic, traffic, structural, and utility. Typical projects range from large design/build transportation projects to traditional projects for local government, state, and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs basic computations, analysis, and design tasks.
• Assists in the preparation of permits, applications, material testing, drawings, and computer-aided design work.
• Capable of judgment on details of work and the application of standard methods. 
• Able to work independently to perform moderate design tasks.
• Maintains high standards of work product and receives direction from peers. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• Registration as an E.I.T. is desirable.
• 0 to 5 years of experience in transportation engineering design required.
• Must demonstrate teamwork and possess written and oral communication skills.
