About the role
Senior Agile Delivery Lead at VNC LLC in Boston, MA. Job Duties:
- Serve as servant leader and subject matter expert of Agile methodologies and Program Management
- Schedules and facilitates scrum team meetings (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review/Demo, Sprint Retro) and reinforces best practices to drive continuous improvement
- Holds the team to the defined standards for story definition
- Provides scrum team with execution data and metrics to foster better planning
- Monitors current sprint to assess delivery and raises awareness to stakeholders if commitments will slip
- Provides key Milestones on Client Driven Development to internal teams
- Works alongside internal teams to plan Client Driven Development Work
- Supports 2-3 Scrum Teams
- Ensures that teams work is associated to appropriate epics and initiatives to enable proper reporting of progress and spend utilizing Agile project management tools such as Jira
- Ensures sprint cadence is running as expected and that sprints stsart on time
- Provides coaching/training to on Scrum Best practices (i.e. Capacity planning, estimation, etc.)
- Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance
- Track impediments, hold impediment owners accountable, and ensure a speedy resolution to maximize team agility and accelerate delivery
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Train other Agile Delivery Leads and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff
- Integrates Agile and Lean principles into team practices and work products
- Coaches Product Manager and team on backlog refinement and prioritization
- Utilizes team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve
- Innovates with practices and frameworks through experimentation to improve the team and their delivery
- Coaches the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
- Develops ability to act as an Agile mentor and coach to other Scrum Masters or any Agile role
- Communicates with leaders across the organization on a regular basis to ensure transparency into delivery, risks, issues, etc.
