Rehabilitation Aide - Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation and Outpatient Rehabilitation - Days - Cornell Campus

As a Rehabilitation Aide, take part in the continuum of patient care in our dynamic acute care, inpatient rehabilitation settings and outpatient rehabilitation department. Assist in maintaining therapy areas by obtaining rehabilitation equipment, maintaining inventory of supplies and restocking medical linen and supplies. May provide transport of patients as needed. Under the supervision of a rehabilitation therapist, assist with the care of patients of all ages and diagnoses in all of our inpatient and outpatient settings including our many ICUs and Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. Candidates for the position should have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable interacting with patients in the acute care and ICU settings.

 

This is a full-time position on the day shift, working Tuesday – Saturday with hours from 830am - 4:30pm.  

 

Preferred Criteria

• Six months hospital experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

• Knowledge of policies and procedures of Rehabilitation Medicine Department

• Demonstrated interest in working with Rehabilitation Medicine patients
