Sr. Engineer- Infrastructure Solutions

DGR Systems is looking for a Sr. Engineer, Infrastructure Solutions. You will be responsible for designing and implementing infrastructure solutions with our clients. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain robust solutions.

The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator with an ability to simplify complex topics into clear messages and must be consultative in focus with a growth mindset and passion for continuous learning to bring the best solutions to our clients. The candidate will bring technical experience, solutions leadership, and business acumen to DGR Systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide service ownership through the understanding and evangelizing of how technology solutions can help solve business challenges and guide the development of services to meet those needs
• Ensure the execution of service delivery for our clients to a standard of excellence expected by our clients
• Engage with existing and prospective clients, partnered with our sales organization, to help design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery solutions, including data backup, replication, and restoration processes to solve client challenges
• Serve as a virtualization lead specializing in virtualization technologies.
• Design and implement server, storage, network, and security infrastructures.
• Design and implement converged and hyper-converged infrastructures.
• Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance.
• Create and follow organization standard documents such as Service Agreement / Statement of Work, Design Documentation, project deliverables, deployment plans or other complex technical communications.
• Assist management to maintain our training and certification platform, including the identification of the latest industry accreditations, maintaining any pre-existing accreditations for our services and partnerships as well as assisting in the rollout of new processes and technologies.
• Work closely with internal and external teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and database administrators, to ensure data protection is integrated seamlessly into the organization's infrastructure
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure solutions design and implementation
• High level expertise and certification in virtualization technologies.
• Strong expertise in multiple industry leading compute platforms.
• Experience with Storage Arrays and Software – (Dell EMC, HPE, NetApp and/or Pure Storage).
• Experience with multiple enterprise backup strategies, including agent / SAN based backups, snapshots, as well as file and block level replication.
• Understanding of tiered storage and storage protocols as well as their impact on virtualized infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience implementation with Converged and Hyper Converged Infrastructures.
• Develop and design solutions to meet provided specifications and professionally presenting them to a technical audience.
• Capability to prepare and deliver written processes both internally and externally (Service Agreement / SoW, design documentation, deployment plans or other complex technical communications.
• Demonstrated client-focus solutions provider excelling at understanding customer needs and translating those needs to solutions
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, organizational, presentation, product demonstration, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Backup and Recovery Engineer (CBRE)) are a plus:
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Data Center
• Citrix Certified – Virtualization
• Dell EMC Proven Professional Certification
• NetApp Implementation Engineer Professional or Installation Engineer Professional
• Nutanix Platform Professional Certification and/or Platform Expert Certification
• VMware Certifications
