Role

The Medical Staffing and Credentialing Manager is responsible for collaborating with external Credentialing partners to facilitate end-to-end Credentialing of aptihealth providers, as well as other tasks and needs of active providers. The Manager will work with Human Resources to identify and assist in resolving barriers, and Operations to understand and prepare to meet company business needs. The Manager will individually contribute with the proofing of Credentialing applications, obtaining and completing verification of providers’ medical experience, state licensure, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration, Board Certification, etc., and evaluating data to verify qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate Credentialing process and provide customer support to facilitate all necessary information and document exchange.
  • Review and evaluate provider applications, identify credentialing concerns, and request appropriate follow-up information from providers or other sources as needed.
  • Responsible for timely processing of initial/recredentialing applications.
  • Provide appropriate documents to external Credentialing partner and follow up with providers to obtain additional information.
  • Thoroughly and accurately maintain all credentialing tracking mechanisms by ensuring data is entered accurately in real-time and concise information provided to relevant parties consistently.
  • Responsible for quality, privacy, and secure storage of provider files
  • Continuously provide excellent customer service skills by following up with external providers and partners accurately and professionally.
  • Provide credentialed provider information to necessary departments and update systems, as necessary.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS), Preferred
  • At least 3 years’ experience in medical Credentialing.
  • Working knowledge of Credentialing Standards and Guidelines in Credentialing, Recredentialing, and other regulatory/compliance requirements.
  • Competent in all aspects of Credentialing and adhering to all company policies, procedures, state, federal, and certification agencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written
  • Proficient computer skills. Ability to navigate/modify web-based applications, effectively communicate using email in the business setting, and work within online intranet platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Demonstrated ownership and follow-through of all delegated tasks and projects
  • Results driven -- documented success in exceeding goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated commitment to the core values of the company
  • Notary Public preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
