Charge Nurse- GCSP

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm (No Call)

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Education/License/Experience: 

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current nursing license in the state of Alabama. 
• Two years of operating room experience required, preferably in orthopedics. 
• Must have current CPR and ACLS certification.

Other Qualifications: 

 

• Must be a full-time employee and be flexible in job duties and work schedule.
• Preferred accomplishments include experience in Orthopedic and outpatient surgery.  Must be able to communicate effectively and have an ability to work compatibly with all physicians and staff. 
•  Possess strong organizational skills and a clear understanding of the importance of efficiency and cost effectiveness in an outpatient surgery center. 
• Possess the knowledge and clinical skills to perform the job duties of an operating room nurse.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and anesthetic agents and complications is required. 
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of all procedures performed in the Surgery Center and be able to circulate all procedures.
• Must have an aptitude for understanding, operating, and troubleshooting machines and equipment.
